Film Synopsis

Carl Herikson, the famous American matinee idol, arrives in Paris to a grand reception at the Ritz.  He is greeted by the journalist Claudine André and Philippe de Moranne, the editor of Paris-Soir.  The latter's mistress, Paulette Nanteuil, an actress, is also present.   Carl recognises Paulette that evening when she appears on stage and invites her to dine with him.  Philippe takes advantage of his wife's absence to get to know Claudine a little better...
