Film Synopsis

To look at them, you would scarcely imagine that Clara and Lily were sisters.  Married to a successful lawyer named Pierre, Clara is the very model of the sophisticated modern woman.  Organised and meticulous, she appears to be the exact opposite of her free-spirited younger sibling Lily, who lives for the moment and is a picture of carefree exuberance.  The two sisters have lived fairly separate lives - Clara in the city, Lily in the country - until the tragic day when their mother suffers a fatal stroke at the wheel of her car.  Concerned over what may happen to her sister now that she no longer has her mother to look after her, Clara leaves her home in the city and moves back into the old family home in the country.  Clara had intended to act as Lily's guardian, to bring some order into her hopelessly chaotic life, but things do not turn out as expected.  Under her younger sister's influence, Clara starts to see the world differently.  She acquires something of Lily's lust for life and soon becomes a very different woman - freer and happier than she has ever known...
