Film Synopsis

Thanos Kyrilis, an important Greek shipping magnate, sends his wife Phaedra to London to collect Alexis, his 24-year-old son by a previous marriage.  The moment they meet Phaedra and Alexis are powerfully attracted to one another.  After a whirlwind romance in Paris they return to Thanos's home on the Aegean island of Hydra.  The ship builder is keen for his son to enter into the family business but such plans are derailed when Phaedra tells him that she is having an affair with his son.  Outraged by this revelation, Thanos drives away his wife and violently assaults his son.  Alexis refuses to take Phaedra with him when he makes his departure.  Only in death will the lovers be reunited...
