Film Synopsis
Lina is 17 when she arrives in Paris in the early 1990s to complete her education.
Born in Lebanon, she finds a temporary refuge with her aunt and uncle, but
they get on so badly that Lina is soon looking for a new home. Fortunately,
she has found herself a friend, a fellow student, who allows her to move
in with her. She then gets herself a job and becomes the mistress of
a wealthy businessman, Jean-Marc. Lina becomes attached to her new
life in France and is no hurry to return back home to Lebanon. As well
as finding a place to live, she also has the problem of getting herself a
residence permit so that she can continue to stay in her adopted country.
When Jean-Marc loses interest in her, she quickly finds herself a new boyfriend,
Julien, a small-time trafficker...
