Film Synopsis

In 1918, two brothers return to their home in Alsace.  Edouard wears a French uniform, Emile a German uniform.  The former has married a Parisian woman, the latter wants to marry a German.  Their father opposes Emile's marriage at first but finally relents, having come to realise the futility of hatred for other races.
