Film Synopsis

In Taipei, Abbas is frantically looking for a girl who went missing some years ago.  Despite the best efforts of his partner Lian, he remains trapped in his torpor, unable to put behind him the tragic events that still haunt him.  Seven years ago, Abbas was living with Clara, in a mountain village cut off from the rest of the world.  The couple live with the threat of a mysterious virus which causes its victims to behave in a disturbing manner.  One day, Abbas comes across a child in a forest.  The child's mother is in hiding, a victim of the strange disease...
