Notre paradis (2011)
Directed by Gaël Morel

Drama
aka: Our Paradise

Film Synopsis

Vassili is a male prostitute in his mid-thirties who resorts to petty crime, as much out of habit as a means of supporting himself.  One day, he comes across the senseless body of an attractive young man in the Bois de Boulogne and feels impelled to take him back to his modest home.  The stranger introduces himself as Angelo and he takes an instant liking to his rescuer.  Within no time the two men are deeply in love and become the most passionate of lovers.

Not content with finding paradise, Angelo is soon lured into his partner's seedy profession, working with him as a prostitute and robbing their unsuspecting clients in the process.  The couple's idyllic life soon takes on a much darker hue when they are threatened with vicious reprisals.  In the end, they are driven to Paris in an attempt to evade the ones who are now determined to make their lives hell.  Vassili and Angelo are soon paying the price for their criminal partnership, and it seems that there is no hope of escape...
