Film Synopsis
France, 1944. On the day of the Normandy landing, a two-bit actor
named Martin is busy rehearsing his role as a German officer for a
stage play. The liberating American troops mistake him for a real
German and he is handed over to the French. Whilst employed as an
orderly to a French general, Martin mislays his clothes and ends up
having to borrow those of the general. Kidnapped by German
soldiers, Martin is privy to a dastardly plot to defeat the allies,
masterminded by Hitler himself. When he is subsequently rescued
by the Americans, Martin is charged with a vital mission: to infiltrate
the German camp and assassinate the Führer...
