Film Synopsis
When he loses his job as a well-paid manager in a large company, 40-something Francis is at a loss over what to do next. Unable to break the news to his wife, he keeps up the pretence that he still has a job. Out of desperation, he decides to consult a fortune teller to see what the future holds for him. This experience gives him a brainwave. Why shouldn't he become a fortune teller? All he has to do is hire a caravan, dress up as a mysterious Rumanian woman and utter a few enigmatic platitudes to gullible clients. As Madame Irma, Francis discovers a new lease of life...© James Travers
