Directed by Christian Merlhiot

Drama

Film Synopsis

In the year 1630, the city of Milan is being ravaged by a terrible plague.  No one knows the cause of the pestilence or how to combat it.  Gripped by fear and suspicion, the city's increasingly desperate inhabitants are anxious to find an easy scapegoat to account for this apocalyptic calamity.  Two innocent men are denounced to the city's authorities as the cause of the plague.  They are arrested, questioned and tortured with frightening brutality.  Before they die, these unfortunates concoct a fantastic story that will explain how the plague came about.  The story they tell is one that will chill the blood.  It is the story of the Plague Sowers...
