Film Synopsis

In 1955, Mahmoud is expelled from Algeria and ends up in a shantytown in Nanterre.  He starts his own business and collects funds for the Algerian National Liberation Front, under the mistrustful eye of those around him.  Through his association with the FLN, Mahmoud is forced to participate in violent activity, which is totally against his nature.  Slowly, he starts to loose his reason and ends up being totally immured in his insanity.
