Sabine, 22, is married to Jacques, 38.  They have a young child, but their life has become unbearably monotonous.  Sabine takes refuge from her boredom by beginning an affair with another man, Pierre.  Jacques is aware of his wife's infidelity but says nothing.  He is determined to save his marriage and makes up his mind to try to win Sabine back...
