Le Temps des cerises (1937)
Directed by Jean-Paul Le Chanois

Drama
aka: The Time of the Cherries

Film Synopsis

On the one hand there are the wealthy industrialists who do everything in their power to avoid paying tax.  On the other, there are the workers, who live in abject misery because they are not paid enough.  It has always been thus.  In four different periods (1895, 1900, 1914, 1937), we see the same gulf between the fraudulent rich and the honest poor.
