Film Synopsis
Antoine Pimaï is a young anarchist who rejects all forms of
authority. Having lost his job as a railway worker, he enrols in
the navy, intent on causing further trouble. After several
transfers, he is assigned to a ship commanded by Captain Yorritz, who
is confident he can bring out the better qualities in his new
recruit. But Pimaï is not yet ready to change his ways and
he soon creates an atmosphere of discord amongst his crewmates.
When another sailor takes the blame for one of his stunts, Pimaï
experiences remorse for the first time in his life and decides he must
desert. Little does he know that one day he will return, a
changed man...
