Documentary

Film Synopsis

Of all the senses, our sense of smell is probably the least important.  Unlike our other four senses it isn't vital for our survival, yet it adds so much to the experience of living that without it we would surely be deprived of something special.  Being able to smell the food we eat is indubitably one of the chief pleasures of eating, and so many of our memories are preserved and brought back to us by the power of smell.  The importance of smell is examined in this documentary, which includes contributions from a wine expert, a chef, a truffle hunter and a perfumer, all of whom are adamant that without smell our lives would be greatly diminished.
