Film Synopsis

In Marseilles, the son of Dr Hourtain is kidnapped and a ransom is demanded.  When the child is not returned after the ransom has been paid, Hourtain enlists the aid of a gangster, Paco le Maltais, whose life he once saved.   Paco realises that by assisting Hourtain he risks being arrested for a bank robbery he has just participated in.   Meanwhile, the kidnap is being investigated by the police, led by Commissioner Lussac.   Through his underworld contacts, Paco discovers that the child is being held by Le Chinois, one of his former accomplices...
