Film Synopsis

Since her parents' separation, nine-year-old Mathilde lives with her mother Hélène.  Her only true friend is her grandfather, who is confined to a nursing home.  One day, whilst rummaging in a mattress, Mathilde finds a letter addressed to Paul from his former wife, who left when Hélène was ten.  One night, she goes to visit Paul and persuades him to track down his ex-wife...
