Le Chanteur (2014)
Directed by Rémi Lange

Drama

Film Synopsis

Thomas has had enough of his mundane life in the provinces.  After his mother's death, he ends up having to live with his aunt, and he risks dying of terminal boredom.  On the spur of the moment, he sets off for Paris to realise his dream of becoming a singer.  The life of the artist proves to be much harder than he had imagined, but he still manages to scrape by, strumming his guitar in popular tourist spots in the capital.  Things look up when he meets Lola, a vivacious young cabaret performer who, like him, hopes to make the big time.  The two young people hit it off straight away and before he knows it Thomas is being presented to Lola's producer.  It looks as if he may have struck lucky...
