Film Synopsis
Alan and Solen are two free spirits who meet by chance in a small port in
northern Brittany. A loner by nature, Alan likes nothing better than
to roam about the open countryside in his van, stopping from time to time
to sketch landscapes. Solen is just as passionate about nature and
has a habit of 'borrowing' other people's boats so that she can drift out
to sea to bask in an untrammelled sense of freedom. For a while, Alan
and Solen lose sight of one another, but then meet again by chance and now
discover they share a mutual attraction. These two most independently
minded of individuals begin to take pleasure in each other's company, but
neither feels equipped to deal with the challenges of a full-on relationship.
Since his accident, Alan has given up hope of having a partner, so the sudden
arrival of Solen in his life proves to be both a delight and a torment.
As these two solitary individuals tentatively embark on a love affair both
have cause to wonder whether the relationship will last...
