Film Synopsis

France, 1943.  Pontoise, a provincial town, is under German occupation.  Two months from taking their high school diploma, the pupils of one class organise a party at an abandoned flourmill, to stave off boredom.  German manoeuvres in the area force them to run away.  Having regrouped, the classmates decide to fight back against their hated enemy, an idea that has already been growing in the minds of two of their number, Olivier Guerbois and Jean-Louis Mesnier.  Everyone in the class agrees to take party in the offensive, except Robert Borelli, the selfish son of a hairdresser who has grown rich by his black market activities. Guerbois and Mesnier are taken by surprise when they find Borelli making pocket bombs in the chemistry classroom.  The young résistants begin their campaign by blowing up a building occupied by Germans.  This results in their chemistry teacher being arrested.  By exercising both courage and imagination, the group succeeds in destroying the German command post and releasing several hostages.  But after these victories things will soon go wrong.  Following the death of a German soldier, the Nazi police strike back, acting without mercy against the young resistance fighters...
