Film Synopsis

At the time of the Restoration, Pierre Cursey resolves to take revenge against the village shoemaker who indirectly caused him to be arrested and thrown into prison.  One he is freed, Cursey finds work as a groom at a farm near to his home village.  He then enters himself in a game of soule, a violent version of rugby, knowing that his sworn enemy will also take part in the contest...
