Film Synopsis
Isabelle de Santos, the widow of a Brazilian, is invited to Venice by Soso, an oil tycoon. Her arrival provokes considerable gossip amongst the idle rich. A barman, Alfredo, hires a young painter named Gérard to steal her jewels. Like any good Italian, Gérard does not allow a professional engagement to get in the way of his leisure pursuits. Before he knows it, he is head over heels in love with Isabelle. In the end, Isabelle has to confess that she is penniless...© James Travers
