Film Synopsis
In a rural part of France, Paul is a committed bachelor who, when he is not
earning his keep as an odd-job man, likes to spend his free time hunting
birds. From the sanctuary of his cabin, which he dubs 'la palombière',
he spies on his prey, with his gun always at the ready. One day, an
attractive young woman named Claire takes up a new post as a supply teacher
at a nearby village school. Even though she already has a boyfriend,
Claire soon develops a strange fascination for the laconic Paul and finds
she cannot resist his peculiar rustic charms. Can this be the beginning
of a love affair or a mutually destructive obsession...?
