Film Synopsis

Although Alfred is able to talk to his mother, he becomes mute whenever anyone else speaks to him.  This affliction has blighted his life, preventing him from winning Suzanne, the woman he has long loved.  One day, he decides to adopt a child, in the hope that this may resolve all of his problems.  But, after weeks of nervous waiting, Alfred is surprised when he doesn't see a child waiting for him at the station.  The only person there is an old man with a suitcase...
