L'Histoire de Richard O. (2007)
Directed by Damien Odoul

Drama
aka: The Story of Richard O

Film Synopsis

One summer, Richard is racking his brains to come up with a subject for his next film.  He decides to combine this with his own personal quest for satisfaction, which he is certain can never be attained through a monogamous relationship.  So, after leaving his life partner, he throws himself into a fanatical search for sensual gratification.  In this, he is assisted by his loyal dogsbody, le Grand, who procures for him several suitable young women that he finds in the street.  It proves to be quite an eventful August.  In the space of one month, Richard will make amorous conquests of new fewer than thirteen women, but what will he have learned at the end of this wild libidinous binge?  Will he be more satisfied than he was when living with one woman, or will his eyes have been opened to a far richer and more meaningful mode of existence?  The remarkable story of Richard O is one that may contain lessons for us all...
