Film Synopsis
It is indeed ironic that for a man who dreams of nothing but wealth Georges
Villard should work for a bank as the humblest of employees. He is surrounded
by money, but he can't touch a penny of it! It's worse than being an
obsessive sugar addict forced to work in a sweet shop. Georges's dreams
of living the high life look as if they might come true when his path crosses
that of Monsieur Steve, a high class career criminal who is preparing his
next hold-up. If Georges were to offer his help, Monsieur Steve could
make him a very wealthy man. How can Georges refuse such a generous
offer?
Giving in to his own ambitions and the seductive powers of Steve's alluring
moll, Georges gladly agrees to fall in with his supposed benefactor's scheme.
But then it suddenly dawns on him that Steve intends to rob the bank where
he works. This is far too risky for his liking, so he refuses point-blank
to go along with it. Naturally, Steve is far from pleased by this betrayal,
and before he knows it Georges finds his life is in peril. The Fates
would seem to be on his side, however. In the end, Georges manages to
rid himself of a dangerous enemy and obtain the money and the girl he craves
by totally legitimate means...
