Film Synopsis
In the throes of an amorous disappointment, Agnès leaves her
home in France and heads for Spain. In a Mediterranean town, she
occupies herself by redecorating the house of a man named Zaylor, near
a village inhabited by wealthy expatriates. On the road that
leads to the villa in which she rents a room Agnès notices a man
who is behaving aggressively to anyone he encounters. The man,
Daniel, directs her to the villa, where she receives an icy reception
from Felix and Chesco, the guards. Among the guests Agnès
meets here are Annabel, a strangely disturbing woman, and Rik, a
wealthy Don Juan. Agnès then learns that Daniel is
suspected of having murdered his wife during a boat trip with Pedro,
Rik's brother. Far from being afraid of Daniel, Agnès
begins to develop an acute fascination for the man who has been
rejected by the entire community. Convinced of Daniel's
innocence, she sets out to uncover the truth but soon discovers that
some mysteries are best left unresolved...
