Film Synopsis

When he leaves prison, Maxime Steiner feels that he has been away for years.  He isn't even certain why he was incarcerated in the first place.  As he wanders around Paris on foot, he encounters people who seem to know him but for whom he feels no connection.  First there is a woman jeweller who claims to love him.  Then a false brother who has profited from his arrest.  In the end, Maxime gets into a taxi and heads for the suburbs, hoping to find the house in which he grew up...
