Film Synopsis

In February 1896, the great Swedish playwright August Strindberg checks into the Hôtel Orfila in Paris, having abandoned his wife and child in Sweden.  Under the influence of drugs and alcohol, the writer succumbs to a succession of vivid hallucinations that drive him to the limits of paranoia.  The Hôtel Orfila is where Strindberg allowed himself to be drawn into the fiery pits of Hell, and the place is still haunted by his presence...
