Film Synopsis

Khalifa Kamara is a young Frenchman of Senegalese origin who, having been unable to find work for some time, decides to run for the town's mayoral election.  In doing so, he hopes to change not only his own life but also the lives of others in the same predicament as him.  If he is elected, he faces huge challenges undoing all the damage caused by the incumbent mayor over the past few decades.  What Khalifa envisages is nothing less than a hold-up, with democracy the only weapon at his disposal...
