Film Synopsis
Olivier, a man in his early sixties, is leading a perfectly contented life
in Limousin when all of a sudden he comes crashing into the buffers.
He has been so absorbed in his work that he hardly noticed his wife's lack
of interest in him. So when, one day, she walks out on him he is scarcely
able to comprehend what is happening. He had taken it for granted that
she was as happy as he was. Wounded by this inexplicable rejection,
he goes out of his way to ensure that he does not lose custody of his daughter
Léa. Fortunately, the court has the good sense to rule in his
favour. Once the dust has settled, Olivier is able to get on with his
life, but now he suddenly realises what a handful his tomboy daughter is
becoming. His wife's abrupt departure was a wake-up call, a warning
for him to show more interest in those who are closest to him. Olivier
has no intention of losing Léa, but at his advanced age maintaining
a healthy paternal relationship with a girl who isn't yet a teenager is hardly
the easiest of undertakings...
