Film Synopsis
On his return to civilian life in October 1918, the young Dr Giorgio Volli immediately sets about looking for a group of children he took care of before the war. His tortuous investigation finally takes him to an old orphanage, where he is appalled to discover that every one of the children is dead, having drowned in the swamps nearby. It would seem that the unfortunate children were driven to their deaths by the wolves that inhabit the countryside around the orphanage. Then Volli falls under the spell of the mysterious Catherine...© James Travers
