Film Synopsis
On a Mediterranean cruise ship, we overhear the conversations of
several passengers, but as they talk in their own language how much do
we understand? One night, a brother and sister summon their
parents and demand answers to some difficult questions, such as: what
is meant by Freedom, Equality and Fraternity? We are then whisked
off to six locations in Europe, the sites of legends that may or may
not be true... Veteran filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard invites us to
reflect on the significance of socialism in a world that is fast losing
its last vestiges of social cohesion.
