Film Synopsis
Yassine is a young man in his thirties who leaves his home in Morocco to
study architecture in Paris. Things do not turn out as well as he had
hoped and, after failing his exams and losing his visa, Yasmine finds himself
living in France as an illegal immigrant. Not wishing to be sent back
to his home country, he comes up with a novel solution to his problem - he
will get married to his best friend, Fred! Surprisingly, Fred is more
than happy to go along with the arrangement.
The stratagem seems to work but before Yasmine knows it he has a persistent
inspector following his every move, determined to obtain evidence that the
Moroccan has resorted to a marriage of convenience so that he can bypass
French immigration laws. If he is to remain in France, Yasmine will
have to prove to the world that he and Fred are the most devoted of couples.
It's not quite as easy as it sounds...
