Drama
aka: Circle of Deceit

Film Synopsis

Georg Laschen is a German journalist whose relationship with his wife Greta is becoming increasingly strained.  It is without regret that he sets out for the Lebanon to make a report on the civil war, assisted by his friend and colleague Hoffmann.   In the war-torn city of Beirut, Laschen encounters a former lover who is living there with her husband.  The horrors of the war soon take their toll and, having caused the death of an Arab man, Laschen returns to Germany, unwilling to sell the story he has compiled.
