Film Synopsis
David enjoys his work as an occupational therapist in an exclusive Swiss clinic. He derives immense satisfaction in helping people suffering from severe psychological problems regain their autonomy and start to live normal lives. One morning, David is asked to step in for a colleague and accompany a patient of his, Madame Hansen-Bergmann, into town to do some shopping. The curious woman not only has to cope with acute depression, she also suffers from partial amnesia. David realises that she needs special attention to help her get through the day. As he gets to know Madame Hansen-Bergmann, he becomes increasingly interested in her and her extreme moods of melancholia. He wonders what is the cause of his patient's persistent depression...© James Travers
