Film Synopsis

Catherine and Marcello were once two of the happiest people in the world.  The very model of the perfect couple, they had never known such joy when their baby daughter Camille was born.  But then came the tragedy from which they felt they would never recover.  Their daughter died from a rare condition and they were left utterly bereft.  Since that terrible day when their most precious jewel was taken from them Catherine and Marcello have been living in a kind of limbo, confined to their apartment, scarcely talking to one another and unable to socialise with others.  Still smothered in grief, they soon lose all contact with the outside world.  Finally, the couple agree to go on a long journey together.  They head south, towards the sea.   They arrive to witness the froth and fun of a wedding reception.  It is then that they come to accept that life must go on...
