Belle du Seigneur (2013)
Directed by Glenio Bonder

Drama / Romance

Film Synopsis

In the mid-1930s, Solal des Solal is a senior Jewish official working for the League of Nations in Geneva.  One day, his path crosses that of Ariane and he is at once captivated by her charm and beauty.  Even though Ariane is already married, to one of Solal's junior colleagues, she is equally taken with her enchanted admirer and from this moment the two are carried off on the most intense of love affairs.  The adulterous relationship takes the two lovers to Italy, where they live together in a villa overlooking a lake in the north of the country.  Solal and Ariane could not be happier, but theirs is an affair that can have no future and must of course end in tragedy...
