Film Synopsis

Thomas, 14, lives in the eastern French town of Montbéliard with his 30-year-old mother Sabine, who works as a nurse.   One day, Sabine and her son leave the city and take up residence in a remote country house near to a dam.  The enforced isolation strengthens Sabine's ties to her son and she finds it increasingly difficult to face the reality that one day he will leave her.  Then comes the fateful day when Thomas tells her he must go away for work experience.  Sabine knows she cannot let her son go and is prepared to do anything to ensure he stays with her...
