Film Synopsis

Every Friday, businessman Gérard Barbier locks himself up in his attic so that he can pass the time with his old friend Jean-Louis Deshayes. Naturally, his wife Adelaide feels neglected, so she starts an affair with the young Achille Bellorson.  Too sure of Adelaide's fidelity, Gérard is not remotely jealous, but he finally gets the message when Adelaide disappears one Friday with Achille.  To lift his spirits, Gérard accepts an invitation to accompany Jean-Louis and his lover, Hélène Donaldo, to the south of France.  When Hélène's husband Jules hears that his wife is in Cannes, he contacts Adelaide and, along with Achille, they also set off for the Riviera.  One evening, at the Palm Beach Hotel, Jules sees Hélène at a table with Jean-Louis and Gérard.  When she sees her husband in the company of another woman, Adelaide suddenly finds herself jealous again...
