Herbert Lom was a Czech actor whose birth name was Herbert Charles Angelo Kuchacevich ze Schluderpacheru. He was born in Prague, Bohemia, Austria-Hungary on 11th September 1917 and died in London, England on 27th September 2012, aged 95.

His best films as an actor include Alexander Mackendrick's comedy-thriller The Ladykillers (1955), Jack Cardiff's thriller Intent to Kill (1958), Roy Ward Baker's Asylum (1972), -- And Now the Screaming Starts! (1973) and Blake Edwards's The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976).
