Edward G. Robinson was an American actor whose birth name was Emanuel Goldenberg. He was born in Bucharest, Romania on 12th December 1893 and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on 26th January 1973, aged 79.

His best films as an actor include John Ford's comedy-thriller The Whole Town's Talking (1935), Billy Wilder's crime-thriller Double Indemnity (1944), Fritz Lang's The Woman in the Window (1944), Scarlet Street (1945) and John Huston's Key Largo (1948).
