Summary
A family of African immigrants moves into a housing estate in the less
salubrious suburbs of the French town of Mulhouse. Their
neighbours, mostly retired, are racially intolerant and resent their
presence. Crime is rampant in the area, and when one of the older
residents witnesses a theft committed by African youths, he tips off
the police. The African family has a chance to win the respect of
their neighbours by denouncing the culprit.
