Overview

The film stars Yves Montand, Candice Bergen, Annie Girardot, Irène Tunc and Anouk Ferjac.

Synopsis
Robert Collomb is a well-known reporter who takes advantage of his many
travels throughout the world to pursue numerous sentimental
adventures. Robert’s wife Catherine is aware of her husband’s
infidelities, but she still loves him and has no intention of seeking a
divorce. One day, Robert falls for a young American, Candice,
who, unlike the reporter’s previous love victims, is determined to win
him for herself. When Catherine learns that her husband is
prepared to lie to her to see his mistress, she insists on a
separation. Robert, who is about to head off to Vietnam, attempts
to end his affair with Candice – and is surprised by what follows...
