Summary
Although she has a fulltime job as a decorator, Agnès manages to find time for her seven-year old son, Jérôme.  The same cannot be said for her husband, who, when he is not working, spends his time with other women.   During a visit to a wildlife park, Agnès meets Vincent, a divorcé with a young daughter.  It is love at first sight, and Vincent persuades Agnès to help renovate his sister’s health shop.  In the end, Agnès must choose between the man she truly loves – Vincent – and the well-being of her child.  She can’t have it both ways, can she…?

Review
Marlène Jobert and Philippe Léotard make an enchanting couple in this low-key, bittersweet romantic comedy.  They give us a convincing portrayal of a fragile mid-life romance, assisted by a sensitive and well-observed script by Danièle Thompson.  This enjoyable film is competently directed by François Leterrier, the principal actor of Robert Bresson’s Un condamné à mort s'est échappé (1956).
