Overview
Une vie de chien is a French film comedy first released in 1943,
directed by Maurice Cammage.
The film is based on a novel by André Mycho and stars Fernandel, Edouard Delmont, Josseline Gaël, Tramel and Jean-Pierre Kérien.

Synopsis
The music teacher at a school for young ladies, Gustave Bourdillon is
madly in love with Emilie Calumet, the attractive young wife of the
school’s director. When Monsieur Calumet dies, Emilie decides to
take his place, but to do so she must first take an exam.
Realising how devotedly attached Gustave is to her, Emilie promises to
marry him if he will help her pass the exam, by posing as a
woman. Gustave’s attempt at female impersonation is not a great
success, and his marriage plans are further frustrated when Emilie
believes that her husband has been reincarnated as a dog...
