Synopsis
On hearing that she has inherited a fortune from her aunt, Antoinette
Espitalion returns to her native Marseilles, accompanied by her docile

drink. As he gets slowly drunk, Fernand strikes up a conversation
with another man, Pierre Durand. The latter profits from
Fernand’s intoxicated state by exchanging his identity papers with
him. When Fernand finally comes to his senses, he is on a boat
bound for Oran. He is about to take Durand’s place as a volunteer
