Synopsis
Elise Vérone is an actress who, despite her determination to find fame and fortune, has yet to get beyond appearances in third rate sitcoms and TV advertisements.  Her straitened circumstances drive her to dump her boyfriend, Olivier, but she consoles herself with her friends, Delphine and Lou, who share her appetite for a good night out.  During a dinner date with her father, Norbert, whom she hopes will help her out of a financial hole, Elise meets Alain Varenne, a writer for whom she has an instant attraction.  Alain, a refined intellectual, introduces Elise to an entirely different world, but she soon grows bored and starts another affair with Arthur, a womanising photographer...
