Synopsis
Five men are preparing an audacious robbery. These are:
Cyril Glad, a former military man; Antoine Lefebure, who wants to marry
Isabelle; Folco Luigi, a barman; Karl Herman, night watchman in a wine
factory; and Gaston Berilioux, a one time philosophy teacher. The
robbery is a success and the five men hide the money. The same
evening, they break into the factory where Herman works and begin to
sample the produce. They are completely drunk when the police
arrive to arrest them. This is part of their plan: if they are
caught breaking into the wine factory, they cannot be accused of the
robbery. The five men are sent to the same prison, knowing that
they will be free in a short time and can then recover the stolen
money. But things soon go horribly wrong. Herman falls to
his death from a prison balcony. It is neither an accident nor
suicide...
