Summary
Lyle is 35, a simple-minded farmer who lives in a tight-knit rural
community in Illinois. Forced into a marriage against his will,
he is still a virgin and has no real affection for his bigoted wife
Amy. One day, Lyle’s old friend Vernon returns to the village,
accompanied by his young French wife Juliette. Lyle is strangely
drawn to the latter and, for the first time, he finds he has the desire
to spend the night with a woman...
